2-point Perspective Freestyle
Now that you (should) have a great grasp on 2-point linear perspective, it's time to get creative with it. Really creative...
It's time for 2-point perspective freestyle drawings. This is a year-to-year student favorite that has the potential to be a really nice display-quality work, if you take your time and use your knowledge of 2-point linear perspective.
Here is a helpful video using one of my demo pieces for this project. Notice how the digital overlays show you how each step was done in 2-point linear perspective. The video loops through 3 times so you can have a chance to catch everything that's going on.
If the video was too fast for you, or you prefer still-images, here's the images used to create it, so you can take your time and study them a bit more:
Here's some still images for you to use as examples. Some are student-made, and some are teacher demos. The thing you will notice about all of them is that they use 2-point linear perspective ONLY. That means vertical lines, and converging lines (lines pointing at the vanishing points) ONLY.
In the end, you will have a few options. You can ink these if you are more into the technical end of the art form. You can even add color using a single hue in varying levels of value (lightness & darkness). This is going to take us a while though. Take your time. Go for quality over speed, and USE THE TIME I GIVE YOU.
