2 Point Linear Perspective

OK folks, welcome back from Thanksgiving break!

Now that that's out of the way, it's time to get back to business. starting today, we're learning 2-point linear perspective! Don't worry, it's not as difficult as it looks.

We use 2-point perspective when the corner of an object is closest to us. It's easy!

Here's the steps:

- Create your horiszon line

- Place a vanishing point at each end of the line (you can make them closer, but it limits your space)

- Start your object with a vertical line

- Connect top & bottom of the line to BOTH vanishing points

- Cut-off lines (vertical)

- Crossover lines (if needed - straight line from each cut-off line to the OPPOSITE SIDE vanishing point)

That's it! Easy enough, right?

Here's some visual examples to help you out, and yes, we will be making our own cities and abstract "freestyle" 2-point artworks.
