Pattern

 

Pattern Project - Random Shape - Students will explore the concept of pattern by creating a 1" x 1" grid on a piece of paper. They will then be assigned a random shape and told to create a pattern using the shape. Students can use the concepts of rotation, repetition, overlapping, and mirroring to create their pattern designs. When patterns are completed, students will use a color harmony to fill in the entire page. Extra credit available to students who have their designs turned into fabric.
